POP3 access is available via ports 64995 (SSL) and 64110 (unencrypted) on host "pop3.tepidmail.org".

IMAP4 access is available via port 9993 (SSL) and 9143 (unencrypted) on host "imap.tepidmail.org".

Both are also available via IPv6; however, in this case the port numbers used should be the standard ones (110/995, 143/993).

Accounts are available providing the prerequisites of already knowing me sufficiently well and not causing excessive international network traffic are met.

Reliability is greater for services I use regularly; therefore, IMAP access is guaranteed to work - if it doesn't, then I can't read my mail either. Webmail talks to the IMAP server, so unless it breaks independently, things should continue to work. No one ever complains about POP3 breaking, so I assume it's okay. Mail will queue up on a secondary mail server (lancre) if zaphod goes down, or paradise cable goes down, or something else breaks.

Spamassassin can be turned on or off on a per-user basis, thanks to the wonders of procmail.
